We had so much fun exploring the area and trying out different activities. We went fishing and caught some huge fish, went trekking through the jungle and discovered hidden trails, and kayaking in the crystal clear waters was an absolute blast! The staff was super friendly and made sure we had a great time. We felt like adventurous explorers the whole time!

The only thing I would have asked for is a bit more nightlife or party atmosphere for us young people. Don't get me wrong, the activities during the day were awesome, but it would have been cool to have some late-night fun too.

I had an amazing experience at this homestay, surrounded by idyllic gardens and breathtaking views. the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, and I loved chatting with fellow travelers during breakfast and dinner. the boat trips and beach excursions organized by the staff were truly unforgettable. the team, especially Chilly, was incredibly helpful and responsive. the location within Cat Ba National Park offered a peaceful and unique setting, with fun hikes nearby. the food was delicious, and I especially enjoyed the vegan/vegetarian options. it was a fantastic stay!

We stayed at Viet Hai Lan Homestay on Cat Ba Island for three nights and had a fantastic time. The communal dinners allowed us to connect with other travelers and the food, including vegetarian options, was delicious. The hosts were attentive and made sure we had a great time, taking care of everything so we could relax. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location was peaceful and we enjoyed swimming in the harbor, riding bikes, taking boat trips, and trekking in the jungle. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly.

I do recommend this hotel.

This room at Viet Hai Lan Homestay was just perfect for me! The balcony had gorgeous views of the garden and mountains, making me feel so connected to nature. The tile/marble floor gave it a touch of elegance, and the private entrance made me feel like I had my own little haven. I loved waking up to the scenic beauty every morning!

The only thing I didn't personally love was the shower. But hey, it’s just my opinion, and I'm sure others might find it enjoyable.

The room was spacious and clean, with a nice shower room. the jungle setting was a bit manufactured, but still nice. the manager, Viet, arranged everything in advance and made our trip smooth.

There were additional costs that were not clearly stated upfront, including boat rides and taxis. the location is quite remote and requires a hike through the jungle, which may not be suitable for everyone.

The location of the homestay is stunning, set in the middle of Cat Ba national park. Guests have the opportunity to explore the beautiful surroundings and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. the rooms are spacious and clean, providing a comfortable stay. the food provided at dinner time offers a variety of delicious dishes cooked in a Vietnamese style. the friendly and welcoming family ensure that guests feel at home.

The lunch options in the nearby village may be limited, so it is advisable to explore alternative dining options.

For the value we paid, we got excellent service and a spacious, spotlessly clean room at a beautiful location on Cat Ba Island. The staff at the homestay were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed.

The hotel breakfast menu could have been a bit more varied and substantial.
